About Organic Infant Formula No 1

Holle Organic Infant Milk is produced from 99% organic ingredients plus vitamins and minerals (which are required by law). Holle only sources from local farms, so all the milk used comes from a trusted, known origin. Each farm raises its cows in a natural, caring environment where they are free to graze in organic fields cultivated according to modern biodynamic principles – in tune with nature and completely without chemicals. All of the farms supplying Holle strictly adhere to EU organic regulations and, moreover, to the stringent international Demeter regulations. Grazing the cows on lush biodynamic fields and pastures is the reason for the quality of the milk used in the Holle formulas. Demeter farmers avoid the painful dehorning of cows.

Organic starch and maltodextrin derived from corn make the Organic Infant Formula 1 creamy and filling. The remaining 1% of ingredients are vitamins and minerals which are necessary for your baby’s development and are required by EU regulations.

Please be advised this product is NOT classed as vegetarian. As a company, Holle has a policy of working to make their baby milks suitable for vegetarians and, as such, do not add any fish oils to their baby milks – unlike some other baby milk companies. However, they are not yet able to source sufficient quantities of whey powder, which they are required to add by the strict EU baby milk and formula regulations, from strict vegetarian sources. Whenever they can source the whey from vegetarian sources they do so, but it is currently almost impossible to get vegetarian whey powder in the amounts baby food manufacturers would need to offer a consistent supply.
